These Terms and Conditions govern the use of this website and all purchases made from Taylor’s Militaria (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing this website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use this website or purchase goods from us.
1. Nature of Business & Scope
Taylor’s Militaria is a retailer of historical militaria and military-related collectables. All items are sold strictly for historical, educational, research, and collector display purposes only.
Nothing offered for sale is intended for operational use, reenactment use, wear, or modification.
2. Accuracy of Listings & Descriptions
All prices, descriptions, images, specifications, and availability of items displayed on this website are believed to be accurate at the time of listing but are subject to change without notice.
- Minor variations, age-related wear, patina, or imperfections are inherent to historical items and do not constitute faults.
- Measurements, weights, and translations are provided as approximations.
- Errors in pricing, description, or imagery may occur due to human or electronic error.
We reserve the right to correct any errors, withdraw items, or refuse orders arising from incorrect information.
3. Authenticity Guarantee
Unless explicitly stated otherwise (e.g. “reproduction”, “post-war”, “copy”, or “replica”), all items are guaranteed to be original period items.
Lifetime Authenticity Guarantee
If an item purchased from us is proven beyond reasonable doubt to be a reproduction when sold as original, we will offer a full refund of the purchase price, regardless of when the item was purchased.
This guarantee does not apply if:
- The item has been altered, repaired, disassembled, cleaned, or damaged after purchase
- The item has been resold or transferred to a third party
- The claim is based solely on opinion without supporting evidence
4. Condition & Wear
All items are sold in used, historical condition, consistent with age and period use.
- No item should be assumed to be in “as-new” condition
- Cleaning, polishing, or restoration is not recommended and may void refund eligibility
- We do not guarantee functionality, wearability, or fit of uniforms, headgear, footwear, or equipment
5. Orders, Acceptance & Contract Formation
A binding contract is formed only when:
- Full payment has been received, and
- The item has been dispatched
Order confirmation emails or payment receipts do not constitute acceptance of an order.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion. If an order is cancelled, all monies paid will be refunded.
6. Pricing & Currency
- All prices are listed in AUD unless otherwise stated
- Currency conversion rates are indicative only
- We reserve the right to amend pricing errors prior to dispatch
7. Payment Methods
We accept payment via approved methods listed at checkout, including (but not limited to):
- Credit/Debit Card
- PayPal
Refunds are issued only to the original payment method.
8. Returns & Refunds
Change of Mind
If you are dissatisfied with an item, you must notify us within 7 days of receipt.
- Items must be returned in exactly the same condition as sent
- Return postage and insurance are the buyer’s responsibility
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable
Failure to notify us within this period constitutes acceptance of the item.
Exclusions
Refunds are not available for:
- Buyer error or misunderstanding of descriptions
- Items damaged or altered after delivery
- Import refusal by destination country
- Third-party purchases
9. Import, Export & Legal Responsibility
It is the sole responsibility of the buyer to ensure that items are legal to import, own, or possess in their jurisdiction.
If an item is refused entry or seized:
- We are not liable for loss
- No refund will be issued
- Exchange for store credit may be offered at our discretion, less incurred costs
10. Shipping, Risk & Insurance
All items are packed carefully and securely.
- Risk passes to the buyer upon dispatch
- Insurance is included only to the extent provided by the carrier
- Claims for loss or damage must be made with the carrier
We are not liable for delays, loss, or damage once the item is in transit.
11. Restricted Items & Age Verification
Certain items (including but not limited to knives, bayonets, edged weapons, and deactivated firearms) are restricted.
- Buyers must be 18 years or older
- Proof of age may be required prior to dispatch
- We reserve the right to cancel orders if legal compliance cannot be satisfied
12. Terminology – Gold, Silver & Bronze
References to “gold”, “silver”, or “bronze” describe:
- Award class
- Colour
- Finish
- Plating
They do not imply solid metal content unless explicitly stated.
13. Availability of Goods
Items are generally unique and sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
In rare cases where an item becomes unavailable after purchase, we will notify you and issue a refund.
14. Copyright & Intellectual Property
All images, descriptions, and content on this website are the property of Taylor’s Militaria.
- Reproduction without written permission is prohibited
- Use for resale listings, websites, or publications is not permitted
15. Electronic Errors & System Failures
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders arising from:
- Pricing errors
- Listing errors
- Website malfunctions
- Payment system failures
16. Ethical & Historical Context
Items sold may originate from historically sensitive periods.

17. Limitation of Liability
