Original 1934 German commemorative day badge bearing the motto “Aufwärts aus eigener Kraft” (“Upwards By One’s Own Strength”). The design features a rising sun above an eagle in relief, symbolising national renewal themes common to early-1930s pieces. Complete with original pin on the reverse.
These privately purchased day badges were produced throughout the early 1930s to promote unity, morale, and political messaging during national events and rallies. The 1934 issue reflects themes of self-reliance and national resurgence that were widely circulated during this period.
Good used condition with age toning and light surface wear. The painted sun retains most of its colour, and the pin on the reverse remains fully functional.
