Hurry up! Only 1 item is in stock!

Original late-war German Army (Heer) Zeltbahn equipment strap, dated 1945 and marked “xmw”. Made from blackened leather with a darkened steel buckle, this strap was used to secure Zeltbahns, blankets, or field gear to the soldier’s tornister or A-frame. A genuine late-war example showing simplified wartime production and finish.

Historical Context

By 1945, German manufacturers simplified leather equipment to save materials. The xmw code identifies a maker from the Reichsbetriebsnummer system used to disguise production sites. These straps were standard issue for all branches of the Wehrmacht, used to attach the Zeltbahn 31 and other field gear. Late-war examples like this, with black-dyed leather and rougher finish, are increasingly scarce.

Condition

Good overall condition. Leather remains flexible with minor surface wear. Buckle retains original black finish. Marking “xmw 45” clearly visible. Excellent display piece for late-war field gear setups.
