Hurry up! Only 1 item is in stock!

Original WW2 German Afrika Korps (DAK) tropical webbing equipment strap. Constructed from strong canvas with reinforced ends, metal buckle and leather retaining tab. A versatile field gear component used to secure equipment to packs, Y-straps and vehicles. An authentic piece of tropical theatre webbing in a desirable untouched condition.

Historical Context

DAK troops operating in North Africa required lightweight, heat-resistant equipment, leading to the adoption of canvas webbing straps rather than the heavier European leather types. These straps were used universally throughout the Afrika Korps for fastening entrenching tools, water bottles, A-frames and other field gear. Their simple but durable design made them a vital part of frontline load-bearing equipment, often seen in period photographs attached to rucksacks or vehicle stowage.

Condition

In good used condition with light wear consistent with wartime service. Canvas remains strong with no major fraying, metal buckle shows surface patina, and leather tab remains intact.
