Unfortunately this item is sold-out!

Original 1934-dated Reichswehr gas mask tin, an early transitional example from the interwar German army. Retains original field-grey paint and features a clear Reichsadler (eagle) and “WaA” inspection stamp on the base with the date “1934.” The lens compartment remains intact and includes spare lenses with maker marks. The lid is named in period script to Gefr. Burkart, a rare personalised example from the early Reichswehr-to-Wehrmacht period.

Historical Context

Produced during Germany’s rearmament phase, this 1934 tin represents the early Reichswehr issue before full Wehrmacht standardisation. These early models were used in training and reoccupation operations before WWII, making them scarcer than later M38 types. The named lid and matching early markings add strong authenticity and historical character.

Condition

Excellent early example with complete paint, legible markings, and named lid. Minor dents and oxidation consistent with age. All fittings function properly.

ALL ITEMS ARE GUARANTEED ORIGINAL PERIOD PIECES.
