Original WWII German field police (Gendarmerie) bread bag in blue-grey canvas with brown leather reinforcements. This variant was issued to Ordnungspolizei units and differs from standard Wehrmacht field-grey examples. The belt hook has been removed, but all D-rings, leather tabs, and interior buttons remain intact. A solid, presentable example with no visible stamps.
German Gendarmerie and Ordnungspolizei units used specialised blue-grey field gear distinguishable from the army’s field-grey equipment. Bread bags were standard issue and carried rations, cleaning kits, and small personal items. Police personnel served across occupied Europe, performing security, traffic control, and rear-area duties alongside Wehrmacht formations.
Good condition with expected wear from service use. Light soiling, minor leather aging, and belt hook removal. Canvas remains strong and fully intact.
