Unfortunately this item is sold-out!

Original Luftwaffe aluminium ID disc (Erkennungsmarke) issued to a Luftnachrichten (Air Signals) radio operator from Ersatz Kompanie 19/13, based in Nürnberg (Nbg). This unit trained radio and communications specialists who served with air defence, radar, and field communications detachments across occupied Europe. The disc is marked with the soldier number 399 and blood group A on the reverse.

Historical Context

The Luftnachrichten units formed the communication backbone of the German Luftwaffe, operating radar systems, radio networks, and early warning stations. Replacement companies like Ln. Funk. Ers. Kp. 19/13 provided training and administrative support, ensuring a steady flow of personnel skilled in radio transmission, encryption, and radar operation. Many such operators served in night-fighter command posts (Nachtjagd), coastal radar defences, and airfield communications across the Reich and occupied territories.

Condition

Good overall condition with minor edge wear and oxidation. All inscriptions remain clear and legible.

ALL ITEMS ARE GUARANTEED ORIGINAL PERIOD PIECES.
