The Kraftfahrbewährungsabzeichen (Driver’s Proficiency Badge) was introduced in 1942 to reward German Army personnel for reliable and skilled service in military driving roles. It was awarded in bronze, silver, and gold grades depending on length and quality of service. This bronze version represented the first level of the award, worn on the lower left sleeve of the uniform.
Good condition overall — moderate discolouration to wool backing, light oxidation to reverse, and expected age patina throughout. All fittings remain complete and secure. A solid, representative example of the early-war bronze grade driver’s badge.
