Hurry up! Only 1 item is in stock!

Original early-war German Army rubberised gas plane pouch featuring the early-pattern press stud fasteners. A faint 1941 date is present on the inside flap, confirming early-war manufacture. The pouch shows one period field repair on the front and retains its flexibility, with the rubber material still soft and without the typical cracking seen on later examples.

Historical Context

Gas plane pouches were carried by all Wehrmacht soldiers as part of their anti-gas equipment, designed to hold the treated protective cape issued from 1939 onward. Early-war examples like this 1941-dated pouch used higher-quality rubberised fabric, resulting in better long-term survivability. As materials declined later in the war, soft early specimens with intact closures and period repairs offer both historical interest and increasing scarcity.

Condition

The pouch remains in good early-war condition with soft rubber and intact press studs. One professionally executed period repair is visible on the front, consistent with field use. Light creasing and surface marks throughout, typical for rubberised fabric of this period.
