Wash bags such as this were issued to German Army enlisted personnel for everyday field use, allowing soldiers to separate dirty laundry and hygiene items from other kit. These bags were commonly carried within larger packs or transport bags and saw extensive use throughout the pre-war and wartime period, making surviving examples with intact leather components increasingly difficult to find.
Good original condition. Canvas remains strong with expected service wear and age toning. Leather straps and handle are intact and supple, showing honest wear consistent with use. Buckles are complete. Faint name visible internally. No major damage or repairs observed.
