Original woven cockade removed from a German Army M34 overseas cap. The piece shows light wear from service use with several original stitch threads still present around the edges. Ideal for restoring an M34 cap or displaying as a loose insignia example.
The M34 overseas cap was introduced for the pre-war German Army as a lightweight field and garrison cap. Cockades like this—bearing the national colours—were hand-sewn to the front seam. Early woven examples such as this one represent the transitional insignia style worn by Heer personnel during the late 1930s and early war campaigns.
The cockade remains in solid, displayable condition with minor fraying and stitch threads from cap removal. Colours remain strong with no repairs.
