A genuine German Army officer’s cap insignia set, consisting of a bullion wire cockade and wreath as worn on officer visor caps during the Third Reich period. This is a classic example of period officer-quality headgear insignia, manufactured using traditional bullion embroidery techniques.
Officer visor caps of the German Heer were fitted with finely embroidered bullion wreaths surrounding a national cockade, distinguishing commissioned officers from enlisted personnel. These insignia were worn throughout the 1933–1945 period on parade, service, and walking-out caps.
The set remains in good overall condition with honest period wear. The bullion wire retains strong detail, with minor age toning and light wear to the backing consistent with original use.
