Transport troops (Nachschub & Fahrtruppen) formed the logistical backbone of the German Army, responsible for moving ammunition, fuel, equipment, and personnel across rapidly shifting fronts. Officer collar tabs featured silver Tresse with the branch-of-service piping—in this case, transport blue—allowing quick identification of rank and specialty.
