A matching pair of original German Army infantry officer collar tabs, removed from a period uniform. These classic dark green tabs with silver bullion Litzen are a staple piece of Wehrmacht officer insignia and display well either loose or reapplied to a tunic.
Infantry collar tabs were worn by Heer officers throughout the Third Reich period, with the dark green Waffenfarbe identifying the infantry branch. Silver bullion Litzen denoted officer rank and were hand-applied to high-quality wool bases, reflecting the status and prestige of commissioned personnel within Germany’s largest combat arm.
Uniform removed and clearly worn, with honest age toning to the bullion and some light wear to the wool backing. Overall structurally sound and well-matched, retaining strong period character.
