Original WWII German Karabiner 98k (K98k) ammunition pouch manufactured by Otto Gehrckens, Pinneberg in 1942. Constructed from black pebbled leather and retaining all original fittings and stitching. A fine mid-war example, complete with all internal cartridge dividers—uncommon for this period.

Historical Context

By 1942, Germany had entered a phase of mass production for field gear, with firms such as Otto Gehrckens of Pinneberg supplying high-quality leatherwork for the Wehrmacht. These pouches carried 60 rounds of 7.92mm Mauser ammunition—standard issue for infantrymen equipped with the K98k rifle. This example represents mid-war craftsmanship, combining strong leather quality with wartime efficiency.

Condition

Excellent, with supple leather and complete stitching. Internal dividers fully present, a desirable feature for collectors. Some surface scuffs and light field wear consistent with original wartime use.

ALL ITEMS ARE GUARANTEED ORIGINAL PERIOD PIECES.
