Hurry up! Only 1 item is in stock!

Original German political bread bag, produced in Vienna (Wien) and dated 1942. This mid-war example features the single attachment loop and ring configuration unique to political and paramilitary organisations such as the NSDAP, SA, and NSKK. Constructed from olive-brown canvas with leather reinforcements and aluminium fittings, it retains all buttons, D-rings, and straps intact. The internal flap is clearly marked “Wien 1942” alongside the manufacturer’s stamp, and it bears the faint ink name of its original owner.

Historical Context

Political organisations in wartime Germany, including the SA (Sturmabteilung) and NSKK (National Socialist Motor Corps), were equipped with distinct field gear closely modelled after Wehrmacht issue items. Bread bags such as this were part of their standard marching equipment, used for rations, documents, and personal effects. By 1942, resource adjustments led to simplified but still high-quality production from major supply hubs like Vienna, a key centre for uniform and equipment manufacture.

Condition

Excellent condition for age, showing only minor service wear. Canvas remains firm and retains its original colour. All leather fittings are intact and supple, with clear stitching and legible markings. A particularly fine mid-war political issue example, highly suitable for advanced collectors.
