Photographs like this were used in Hitler Youth identity documents, including membership cards, Leistungsbuch records, and service passes. Each photograph was individually glued into a paper booklet and stamped for official use. Surviving loose examples are uncommon, as most remained permanently attached to documents or were destroyed after the war.
