Original WWII German Kriegsmarine Senior Signalman (Oberbootsmann Signal) sleeve patch, featuring the classic crossed signal flags and anchor motif on a black wool backing.
The Signalman trade within the Kriegsmarine (German Navy) was responsible for visual and radio communication aboard naval vessels, coastal batteries, and command posts. The Senior Signalman rank badge indicated a skilled communications specialist, often tasked with transmitting naval signals via flag semaphore, Morse lamp, or radio.
Very good condition overall. Minor edge wear to the wool and slight fraying to the flags, consistent with genuine wartime use. Reverse shows correct pronged attachment and aged stitching.
