Original Luftwaffe Flak NCO collar tabs worn on the service tunic of anti-aircraft personnel. This matched pair features the correct three gulls for an NCO rank, with some gulls replaced at a later time to restore the tabs to their proper configuration. A clean, bright set showing clear field use.
Luftwaffe Flak units formed the backbone of Germany’s air-defence system, manning anti-aircraft batteries across occupied Europe. Collar tabs indicated both branch and rank, with red backing reserved for Flak troops and gulls denoting junior NCO positions. These insignia were commonly seen on Flak crews defending major cities and strategic sites throughout the war.
The tabs remain in good overall condition with strong colour retention and intact backing cloth. Some gulls were replaced after the period to restore the original NCO rank, and there is light surface wear from uniform use.
