An original matching pair of Luftwaffe Nachrichten (Signals) officers collar tabs, uniform removed and retaining strong period character. These tabs feature silver bullion embroidery on brown backing, denoting Luftwaffe Signals branch officers, and represent a specialised and increasingly difficult-to-find category of German WWII insignia.
The Nachrichten (Signals) branch of the Luftwaffe was responsible for communications, radar operation, and command coordination throughout the Second World War. Officers serving in this branch played a critical role in air defence networks, radio interception, and operational control, making insignia from this specialty particularly sought after by collectors.
Original uniform-removed examples showing honest period wear. Minor corrosion to sections of the bullion wire is present, consistent with age, but the tabs remain structurally sound and well defined.
