Original WWII Luftwaffe visor cap cockade with its full aluminium winged wreath and central national cockade. The piece retains all rear attachment pins and is ideal for completing or restoring an original Luftwaffe Schirmmütze. A crisp, well-detailed example.
Luftwaffe visor caps featured a two-part insignia: the eagle above the brim and the national cockade within a winged wreath. This cockade represented national service and branch affiliation, with the winged design specific to Luftwaffe personnel. These insignia were worn on all forms of Luftwaffe Schirmmützen, including those of pilots, aircrew, flak units, and administrative personnel.
The cockade is in very good condition with sharp detail to the wreath and wings, light age wear to the metal surface, and fully intact rear prongs.
