Original German Army military geographical handbook on England, printed in Berlin, 1941 by the Generalstab des Heeres, Abteilung für Kriegskarten und Vermessungswesen. Issued “Nur für den Dienstgebrauch” (for official use only), this Bildheft: England insgesamt (Photo Volume: All England) was produced ahead of Operation Seelöwe (Sealion), Germany’s planned invasion of Britain. It contains over 170 photographs documenting England’s landscapes, towns, and landmarks, used for troop familiarisation and invasion planning.

Historical Context

Compiled for Operation Sealion, this handbook gave German officers detailed visual references of England’s geography, infrastructure, and transport routes. Although the invasion never occurred, it remains one of the most historically significant Wehrmacht intelligence publications.

Condition

Complete with all pages. Some staining and creasing to covers, but overall well-preserved with legible text and intact binding.

ALL ITEMS ARE GUARANTEED ORIGINAL PERIOD PIECES.
