Hurry up! Only 1 item is in stock!

Original 1941-dated German Wehrmacht gas mask canister, showing distinct remains of Normandy-style three-tone camouflage paint (green, brown, and sand). This authentic field-applied pattern is typical of mid-war reissued equipment used by units in Western Europe. The canister retains its original maker’s mark and date stamp, with spare lens compartment still present. The locking latch secures when shut, though the lens compartment is detached and requires manual fitting.

Historical Context

Camouflage-painted canisters were commonly issued to front-line troops in the latter half of the war, particularly in the Normandy campaign of 1944. These repainted examples reflected field-level adaptation for concealment against Allied air reconnaissance and are now highly sought-after relics for their authenticity and rarity.

Condition

Strong example with visible three-tone camouflage remnants, intact fittings, and complete lid locking function. Minor interior oxidation from storage, but overall a solid and display-worthy Normandy relic.
