Original Hitler Youth (HJ) / Deutsches Jungvolk (DJ) sleeve rank insignia, denoting the rank of Scharführer (HJ) or Jungzugführer (DJ). This is a regulation mid-war example, retaining its original RZM manufacturer label to the reverse and remaining in unissued condition.
The Scharführer rank in the Hitler Youth, and its equivalent Jungzugführer rank in the Deutsches Jungvolk, represented junior leadership positions responsible for overseeing small units of boys within the National Socialist youth organisations. These insignia were worn on the upper sleeve and produced under strict Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) regulation to ensure standardisation across the organisation. Surviving examples with intact RZM labels are increasingly scarce due to wear, removal, or post-war disposal.
Unissued. The insignia shows no evidence of wear or having been sewn to a uniform. Embroidery remains crisp with no moth damage. Minor age-related handling marks only. Original RZM label is complete and legible.
