Original mid-1930s German cigarette card collection depicting prominent NSDAP political, military, and paramilitary leaders. This lot consists of 115 cards showing a wide range of figures from Gau leadership through Reich government, SS, SA, NSBO, Reichswehr, and Luftwaffe ranks. Each card identifies the individual and their role within the Third Reich administration. Some duplicates are present, however the majority are different, forming an excellent representative cross-section of the regime’s leadership. A historically interesting and visually striking group with several instantly recognisable figures.
Cigarette cards were widely issued in Germany during the 1930s as collectible inserts designed to promote brand loyalty. Series depicting NSDAP leadership were intended to familiarise the public with party hierarchy and state power structures. These cards served as popular collectibles, making them a unique insight into the visual culture of the Third Reich.
Overall good period condition. Cards show expected age wear including edge wear, minor creasing, and surface marks consistent with circulation and handling. Some duplicates present. No modern alterations or restorations.
