Hurry up! Only 1 item is in stock!

Original DRA bronze-grade sports badge manufactured by L. Chr. Lauer, Nürnberg, from the pre-war period (Weimar to early Third Reich). This finely detailed example features the intertwined “DRA” monogram within an oak leaf wreath tied with a bow — the classic design symbolising physical achievement and dedication to the Reich’s sporting ideals.

The reverse is stamped “L. CHR. LAUER NÜRNBERG” and “M. SCH. No 33918”, confirming it as a genuine early production by one of Germany’s top badge manufacturers.

Historical Context

The Deutscher Reichsausschuss für Leibesübungen (DRA) instituted this badge in 1913 to promote physical fitness and recognise athletic excellence in running, swimming, and strength tests. This example represents the original design used until 1937, before it was replaced by the DRL Sports Badge, making it an appealing collectible from Germany’s pre-war athletic programs.

Condition

Good condition with light age wear and an attractive bronze patina. Markings are crisp and legible, and the fastening system remains intact and functional.
