Original DRA bronze-grade sports badge stick pin, manufactured by L. Chr. Lauer, Nürnberg, dating to the pre-war period (Weimar to early Third Reich). This miniature version displays the iconic intertwined “DRA” monogram within an oak leaf wreath, representing national athletic achievement. The reverse is stamped “GES. GESCHÜTZT Nr. 815 L. CHR. LAUER NÜRNBERG BERLIN S.W.68”, confirming authenticity and early production.
Introduced in 1913, the DRA Sports Badge was awarded to men and women who met the Reich’s physical training standards. This miniature bronze version was intended for wear on civilian clothing, symbolising athletic discipline and commitment to the ideals of the time.
Good condition with natural age patina and an intact twisted pin. Bronze finish remains consistent with light surface wear.
