Original DRA Sports Badge stick pin in silver finish, produced by L. Chr. Lauer, Nürnberg during the pre-war period. This miniature version features the classic intertwined “DRA” monogram surrounded by an oak leaf wreath, finely detailed and well-crafted. The reverse is stamped “GES. GESCHÜTZT Nr. 815 L. CHR. LAUER NÜRNBERG BERLIN S.W.68”, confirming authenticity from one of Germany’s most reputable badge manufacturers.

Historical Context

The DRA Sports Badge was introduced in 1913 to recognise excellence in physical fitness and athletic performance within the Reich Committee for Physical Exercise. Miniature stick pin versions such as this were privately purchased and worn on civilian attire, representing achievement and national pride.

Condition

Very good condition with minor age wear and an intact twisted pin. Silver finish remains consistent and well-preserved.
