Very rare original Luftwaffe tropical blue canvas gas cape bag as issued to DAK and Mediterranean theatre personnel. Constructed from the distinctive blue-grey canvas specific to Luftwaffe tropical equipment. Field-worn example with one missing press stud; the surviving stud is correctly marked PRYM. A scarce accessory for a DAK or Luftwaffe tropical display.
In North Africa and southern Europe, Luftwaffe ground personnel were issued tropical-pattern gas cape bags in blue canvas rather than the standard field-grey rubberised type. These lightweight variants were easier to carry in extreme heat and are now far scarcer due to low production numbers and heavy field use.
Field-worn condition with one missing press stud and signs of service use. Canvas remains structurally intact with wear consistent for a tropical Luftwaffe item.
