Hurry up! Only 1 item is in stock!

Original WWII German Army (Heer) Artillery officer’s shoulder boards for the rank of Hauptmann (Captain). A perfectly matching pair, removed from a Waffenrock (dress tunic).

Constructed from silver Russian braid on red wool underlay, representing the Artillery branch. Each board retains its two gilt rank pips, denoting the rank of Hauptmann. The underside shows the correct wartime red wool backing with period stitching and pin attachments still intact.

Historical Context

These shoulder boards would have been worn by an officer commanding an artillery battery or attached to divisional fire support units. The Waffenrock dress uniform was issued primarily for parades and formal occasions early in the war, gradually phased out as the conflict continued.

Condition

Excellent matching pair showing minor wear consistent with uniform removal. Silver braid remains bright with light edge fraying. Wool backing retains its strong red colour.
