Hurry up! Only 1 item is in stock!

Original WWII German Army (Heer) Pioneer officer’s shoulder boards for the rank of Leutnant (Second Lieutenant). A genuine matching pair, featuring the classic silver Russian braid mounted on a black wool underlay—the branch colour of the Pioneer (combat engineer) corps.

These boards are the slip-on type, fitted with black wool tongues for attachment to the tunic shoulder loops, typical of field-worn officer uniforms. The braid shows gentle field wear, adding to their authenticity and character.

Historical Context

Pioneer officers formed the technical backbone of the German Army, responsible for bridge-building, demolition, fortifications, and front-line engineering operations. Their black Waffenfarbe was traditionally shared with armoured and assault engineer units.

Condition

Good, service-worn condition. The silver braid has toned slightly with age, while the black wool backing remains intact with light wear. Matching set showing honest period use.
