Hurry up! Only 1 item is in stock!

Original WWII Kriegsmarine (German Navy) D-ring leather strap, dated 1939 and maker-marked Berlin on the reverse. Constructed from thick brown leather with machine stitching and a zinc-coated D-ring, this example is early-war manufacture, prior to later material substitutions.

The strap bears a clear Marine inspection stamp featuring the naval eagle and M mark, confirming naval issue. These fittings were widely used aboard ships and coastal installations to secure gear, ropes, or field equipment.

Historical Context

During the pre-war naval buildup of 1938–1939, the Kriegsmarine expanded rapidly under Admiral Erich Raeder. Equipment such as these D-rings were produced in bulk by Berlin-based leather manufacturers to naval specifications, intended for use across the fleet. Items from 1939 represent the earliest wartime production, reflecting superior craftsmanship and materials before wartime shortages altered manufacturing standards.

Condition

Good overall condition. Leather remains strong and flexible with age-related wear and surface patina. Stamping and date clearly visible. Metal D-ring retains much of its original finish with light oxidation.
