Hurry up! Only 1 item is in stock!

Original WWII Kriegsmarine (German Navy) black leather D-ring strap, clearly dated 1940 and stamped with Marine acceptance markings on the reverse. Constructed from thick, high-quality leather with a zinc-coated D-ring, this fitting was used aboard naval vessels and field equipment for securing gear, ropes, or straps within shipboard environments.

The reverse bears crisp maker and date markings, along with a small naval eagle inspection stamp (M). The leather shows its age beautifully, with visible grain texture, original stitching, and an even dark finish.

Historical Context

Kriegsmarine-issued D-rings like this example were used extensively throughout German naval operations during WWII, appearing in both shipboard and coastal equipment sets. Items dated 1940 correspond to the early wartime expansion of the German fleet under Admiral Raeder, when high-grade leather components were still in wide use before late-war material substitutions.

Condition

Excellent example showing honest age and wear. Leather remains strong and supple with full stitching intact. Markings legible, metal ring retains most of its original dull grey finish.
