INCREDIBLE original World War II German Wehrmacht MG34 ammunition drum set, complete with its original twin-drum carrying frame. Retaining original wartime field-grey paint and matching construction throughout, this is a highly desirable and display-ready MG34 accessory set.

Historical Context

The MG34 was the standard general-purpose machine gun of the early war Wehrmacht. Ammunition was commonly fed via 50-round Gurttrommel 34 drums, clipped to a saddle drum carrier for mobility and protection of the belt.

Twin drum sets mounted in a steel carrying frame allowed crews to transport pre-loaded ammunition efficiently during movement and combat operations. These sets were widely used by infantry, armoured crews, and support units from 1939 onward, and remain closely associated with early- to mid-war German machine gun teams.

Condition

The set remains in excellent condition with strong original paint across both drums and the steel carrying frame. All hinges, latches and retaining components are intact and functional. The interiors are clean, and the exterior surfaces show only light handling wear consistent with storage. Maker markings are present on the components, confirming period manufacture. Overall, a well-preserved and complete example.
